KUTIJA ZA KRUH

U jednoj smo bostonskoj prodavaonici rabljenog namještaja pronašli staru kutiju za kruh. Kupili smo je za nekoliko dolara. I udahnuli joj novi život…Možda i Vas nadahnemo na nešto slično.

Pribor:

  •  pištolj za skidanje boje
  •  fini brusni papir
  • boja za drvo, mat bijela
  • ljepilo za drvo (npr. Drvofix)
  • MOD PODGE ljepilo za tekstil
  •  80 cm plastificiranog materijala (za obloge)
  •  2 m ukrasne trake
  •  kist i spužvica za bojanje

Pištoljem za skidanje boje odstranili smo svu staru boju.

Kutiju smo izvana i iznutra dobro prebrusili brusnim papirom.

BREAD BOX

We came across an old bread box at an antique shop in Boston. It only cost us a couple of dollars but with a little imagination we brought it back to life. Perhaps we can inspire you to do the same.

What you need:
– paint remover gun
– fine sandpaper
– matte white wood paint
– wood glue (e.g. Drvofix)
– MOD PODGE textile glue
– 80 cm of plastic coated fabric
– 2 m decorative ribbon
– a brush and painting sponge

We removed the old paint using a paint remover gun.
We sanded both the inside and the outside of the box well.
We applied two layers of the new paint using a painting sponge. Once dry, we cut the plastic-coated fabric for the inside cover. Then we lightly brushed all the inside surfaces with the wood glue and attached the fabric. We pressed it well lest any air bubbles should remain and left it to dry for 12 hours.

Using Mod Podge, we attached the decorative ribbon to the outer edges of the box, and then decorated the front with a heart and the top with a ribbon cut out from the plastic-coated fabric. Two hours later we applied another layer of Mod Podge over the ribbons and decorations and left them to dry
