PASTIRSKA PITA

Idealno jelo „ u jednoj posudi“  za zabave

Ova se pita tradicionalno sprema od mljevene govedine ili janjetine. Moji klinci više vole puretinu, pa ako koristite drugo meso, prilagodite vrijeme pirjanja.

Sastojci:

500 g mljevene puretine

700 g krumpira

1 luk, nasjeckan

1 mrkva, naribana

2 češnja češnjaka, nasjeckana

1 manji poriluk, nasjeckan

1-2 žl koncentrata rajčice

1 žl brašna

1 šalica temeljca

Sol , papar

1 šalica kiselog vrhnja

1/3 šalice mlijeka

5 g maslaca

½ žličice slatke crvene paprike – za posipanje

Priprema:

Krumpir ogulite, narežite na čevrtine i kuhajte u slanoj vodi. Kuhan krumpir ocijedite.

Na malo ulja propirjajte luk, poriluk, mrkvu i češnjak. Dodajte meso. Posolite. Miješajte  da meso promijeni boju, a zatim dodajte rajčicu. Pobrašnite, podlijte s malo temeljca, promiješajte  i pirjajte na laganoj vatri 20-ak minuta. Povremeno miješajte i podlijevajte temeljcem. Posolite i popaprite po ukusu.

Pećnicu zagrijte na 180 stupnjeva C.

Kuhani krumpir stisnite u pire. Dodajte maslac, sol, vrhnje i mlijeko i dobro promiješajte.

Vatrostalnu posudu premažite maslacom. Po dnu rasporedite prijano meso pa ga prekrijte pripremljenim pireom od krumpira. Vilicom po krumpiru iscrtajte valove. Lagano pospite crvenom paprikom.

Zapecite u pećnici 20-ak minuta.

SHEPHERD’S PIE

An ideal one-pot meal for parties

This pie is traditionally made from ground beef and lamb. My kids prefer turkey, but if you choose to use a different kind of meat, adjust the simmering time.

Ingredients:

500 g ground turkey
700 g potatoes
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, grated
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small leak, chopped
1-2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp flour
1 cup stock
salt and pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
5 g butter
½ teaspoon sweet paprika – for sprinkling

Method:

Peal and quarter the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until done. Sieve.
Sauté the onion, leek, carrot and garlic in a little bit of oil. Add the meat and season with salt. Stir until the meat turns brown. Add the tomato paste, flour and a small amount of stock. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring and adding more stock occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Mash the potatoes. Add the butter, salt, cream and milk and stir until well combined.
Grease the oven-proof dish with butter. Place the meat first and cover with the mashed potatoes. Use a fork to create waves on top. Sprinkle with paprika lightly.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
