Sastojci:

5 – 6 krumpira
1 glavica luka
5 jaja
sol
maslinovo ulje

Priprema:

Krumpir ogulite i narežite na tanke ploške.
Luk ogulite i sitno nasjeckajte.
U široj posudi, na maslinovom ulju lagano pržite luk i krumpir. Miješajte često da ne zagori. Kad je krumpir skoro gotov (15-ak minuta), maknite s vatre.
U dubljoj posudi izmutite jaja. Dobro posolite i umiješajte još topli krumpir.
Tavicu premažite maslinovim uljem i dobro zagrijte.
Ponovno tavu prekrijte tanjurom i preokrenite.

SPANISH TORTILLA

An easy-to-prepare dish that requires only 3 ingredients – potatoes, eggs and an onion. Originally, it was meant to feed the troops, yet today it is a staple of Spanish cuisine

Ingredients:

5-6 potatoes
1 onion
5 eggs
salt
olive oil

Method:

Peel the potatoes and slice thinly.
Peel the onion and chop finely.
Sauté the onion and potatoes in olive oil, in a large pot over low heat. Stir to prevent burning. Remove from heat when the potatoes are almost done (about 15 minutes).
Beat the eggs in a large bowl. Season with salt (lavishly) and add the warm potatoes. Leave to soak well for at least 10 minutes.
Heat a pan brushed with olive oil. Pour in the potato and egg mixture, trowel, cover with a lid, and fry for 5-6 minutes (until the bottom turns into a nice crust and the top is no longer “liquid”).
Remove from heat, cover with a plate and turn upside down.
Return to the pan, top side down (it should slide smoothly from the plate).
Fry for another 3-4 minutes.
Cover with a plate and turn upside down once again.
Serve as a side-dish or a main course with salad or a tablespoon of sour cream.
