TOALETNA TORBICA OD OSTATAKA TKANINE

Kad nešto šijem, uvijek mi ostane malih komada tkanine koje je teško upotrijebiti. Odlučila sam im udahnuti novi život, pretvarajući ih u jedinstvenu toaletnu torbicu.

Potrebno je:

ostaci tkanine
vatelin 45 x 45 cm
komad unutarnje tkanine 45 x 45 cm
traka 20 x 6 cm
patent zatvarač 45 cm duljine

Postupak:

Ostatke tkanine izrežite u kvadrate ili pravokutnike i složite da vam se sviđaju u kvadrat veličine otprilike 50 x 50 cm.
Pažljivo sašijte sve dijelove jedan za drugi (kako ste ih i zamislili), a zatim izglačajte.
Pačvorak polegnite na plohu, licem prema dolje, na njega stavite vatelin, a zatim i podstavu (licem prema gore). Pričvrstite pribadačama.
Prošijte kroz sva 3 dijela vodoravne šavove 7 cm udaljene jednog od drugog.
Kad ste tako spojili sva 3 materijala, pažljivo obrežite da dobijete kvadrat  45 x 45 cm.
Cik-cak šavom obradite sva 4 ruba.
Na radnu površinu stavite patent zatvarač (licem prema gore) pa na njega polegnite pačvorak stranu, tako da je gornji rub poravnan s gornjim rubom zatvarača. Primite pribadačama.
Prošijte duž cijelog zatvarača (nema veze što će zatvarač u ovoj fazi biti malo veći od materijala. Slobodno ostavite krajeve izvan tkanine).
Okrenite torbu da strana zatvarača bude gore. Otvorite zatvarač (to je važno da biste na kraju mogli izvrnuti torbicu!), pa drugu stranu (slobodnu) tkanine pribadačama pričvrstite za slobodni dio zatvarača. Prošijte paralelno sa zupcima.
Izvrnite torbu pa prošijte još po jedan šav duž svake strane zatvarača. To će spoju dati čvrstoću i lijep izgled.
Traku tkanine 20 x 6 cm presavijte licem o lice da dobijete traku 20 x 3 cm. Prošijte duž otvorene strane pa izvrnite. Izglačajte i prošijte 2 paralelna šava duž vanjskih stranica.
Sad traku prerežite na pola da dobijete 2 trake duge 20 cm.
Ponovno preokrenite torbicu da naličje bude vani, a patent zatvarač na sredini gornje polovice.
Uzmite jedan komad trake, presavijte ga u omču pa ga ugurajte pod kraj zatvarača (između 2 dijela torbice), tako da omča bude u torbici, a krajevi vire. Pričvrstite pribadačom.
Ponovite i na drugoj strani s preostalom trakom.
Prošijte duž kraćih stranica torbe tako da zahvatite i zatvarač i umetnute trake.
Na redu su kutovi: olovkom označite kvadrat 5 x 5 cm u svakom kutu torbe pa te kvadrate izrežite škarama.
Sad svaki kut otvorite i presavijte donji na gornji rub. Prošijte duž ruba duplim šavom.
Taj postupak ponovite sa sva 4 kuta.
Cik-cak šavom obradite svaki od 4 ruba sašivenih kutova.
Izvrnite torbicu i zatvorite zatvarač.

A MAKE-UP BAG FROM LEFTOVER FABRIC

Whenever I sew something, there are always scraps of fabric that can hardly be used for anything substantial. I decided to combine them, creating something new in the form of a unique make-up bag.

What you need:

pieces of leftover fabric
45×45 cm piece of wadding fabric
45×45 cm piece of “inside” fabric
20×6 cm ribbon
45 cm long zipper

Cut the pieces of fabric to get squares or rectangles. Arrange them to form a square, app. 50×50 cm large.
Sew all parts together carefully and iron the seams.
Place on a flat surface, face side down. Cover with the wadding fabric and the “inside” fabric (face side up). Secure with pins.
Sew the three fabrics together using vertical stitches, 7 cm apart.
Cut the outer rim carefully to get a square 45×45 cm in size.
Finish the four edges with a zigzag stich seam finish.
Place the zipper on a flat surface, face side up. Place the sewn fabrics on top of it, face side down, aligning the top side with the top side of the zipper. Secure with pins.
Sew along the zipper (it does not matter that the zipper is longer than the side of the sewn fabrics at this point).
Turn the bag upside down. Open the zipper – this will allow you to turn the bag inside out once it’s done!

Secure the other (free) side of the fabric to the free side of the zipper with pins. Sew a seam parallel to the teeth.
Turn the bag inside out and sew another seam along both sides of the zipper, making it stronger and nicer.
Fold the ribbon to get a 20×3 cm ribbon. Sew the longer side and turn out. Iron and sew 2 parallel seams along the outer sides.
Cut in half to get two 20-cm long ribbons.
Turn the bag outside in, placing the zipper in the centre of the upper half.
Fold one ribbon and push the folded end under the zipper (between the two parts of the bag), leaving the two ends sticking out. Secure with a pin.
Repeat with the other ribbon.
Sew along the short sides of the bag, including the zipper and the inserted ribbons.
To finish the bag corners: use a pencil to mark a 5×5 cm square on each corner of the bag. Cut out using scissors.
Open each of the corners and fold the bottom part to the top part. Sew along the edge using a double seam.
Repeat with all corners.
Finish the four edges with a zigzag stich seam finish.
Turn the bag inside out and close the zipper.
