PERNICE

To će fiksirati boju, a pernicu učiniti perivom.
Kosu traku izrežite na 2 jednaka dijela. Preklopite svaki napola i zapeglajte.
Poravnajte uz dulji gornji rub i sva tri sloja učvrstite pribadačama.
Prošijte šav duž gornjeg ruba, paralelno sa zupcima zatvarača.
Ponovite postupak i s druge strane zatvarača s preostala 2 komada (žutice i tkanine).
Sad prislonite lice o lice žutice i proštepajte duž vanjskog ruba.
Ugurajte pamučni dio u pernicu i zatvorite zatvarač.

PENCIL CASES

What you need for 1 pencil case:

2 10×6 inch pieces of unbleached linen
2 10×6 inch pieces of cotton fabric
1 coloured zipper, 14 cm long
2 inch wide bias cut strip of fabric
stamps and permanent ink for fabric

Method:

Stamp one piece of unbleached linen using the permanent ink for fabric. Leave to dry for about 10 minutes. Turn and iron the reverse side (without steam) to fix the ink so that your pencil case can be washed.
Cut the bias strip into 2 equal pieces. Fold each in half and iron.
Sew each piece to one end of the zipper, folded around the zipper as if making a sandwich.
Place the zipper on a hard surface, top side up. Cover with the stamped piece of unbleached linen, face down, aligning the linen with the top rim of the zipper. Secure with pins.
Place on top of a (face up) piece of cotton fabric. Align along the longer top rim and secure all three layers with pins.
Sew along the top rim, parallel with the zipper teeth.
Repeat sewing the other pair of fabric pieces on the other side of the zipper.
Open the zipper! This is an important step, as you will need to turn the pencil case inside out later on.
Place the two pieces of unbleached linen one on top of the other, face-to-face. Sew the outer rim.
Repeat with the cotton fabric pieces, leaving a 2 inch opening.
Cut off the corners and turn the pencil case out through the opening and then again through the open zipper.
Push the corners to get a nice shape. Sew the opening.
Push the cotton fabric inside the pencil case and close the zipper.
