NOĆ VJEŠTICA

Uvukao se i u nas prekomorski običaj maskiranja posljednjeg dana mjeseca listopada.

Kako je Noin rođendan blizu, često proslavu organiziramo baš tada. Našim domom  zavladaju bundeve i šišmiši, pripremaju se maske,  opaki jelovnici i napitci koji traže oprez. Igramo vještičji bingo, potragu za blagom i igru ubacivanja… Djeca se kućama vraćaju nasmijana i puna dojmova.

Evo nekoliko prijedloga i za vas:

  1. NATPISI NA GRICKALICAMA

Ne liče li i vama smokići na crve dupljaše? A čips na ljuske sa zmajeva repa?

  1. OPAKI JELOVNICI

Chili con carne čarolijom se pretvara u lonac obitelji Borgija, nachosi mogu imati aromu mišomora, a čokoladna pita te noći postaje pita od mulja i neispunjenih želja.

  1. NAPITCI KOJI TRAŽE OPREZ

Čokoladno mlijeko u malim bočicama postaje tigrovo mlijeko, a limunada punjena u crvene boce napitak grozne vještice.

  1. POTRAGA ZA BLAGOM

Sakrijte pisamca s uputama po stanu ili zgradi. Neka jedna uputa vodi do druge, a posljednja do vreće s prigodnim drangulijama. Naše su upute uvijek u stihu. Evo nekoliko prošlogodišnjih:

„Čak i vještica najgora svoje rublje pere često. Gdje ga ona prati stavlja, novoj poruci je mjesto.“ (perilica)

„Strepi, drhti, mali stvore! Nećeš naći odgovore koje sakrih od tvog vida iza začaranog zida.“  (ulaz)

„Gore-dolje, gore-dolje. Ja sam uvijek dobre volje. Kad sam gore, dobro gledaj, kad sam dolje, tajnu ne dam.“ (ljuljačka)

„Podrum svaki tajne krije.

HALLOWEEN PARTY

Influenced by North America, we too observe the tradition of guising on the last day of October.
With Noa’s birthday being right around that time it gives us the chance to have a party right on Halloween. Our home is ruled by pumpkins and bats, masks, wicked menus and potions to be used with caution. We play witches’ bingo, ball toss and even have a treasure hunt… Children go home with big smiles and great experiences.
Here are some suggestions for your party:

1. LABEL THE SNACKS
Wouldn’t you agree that flips look like woodworms? And that chips are actually scales from a dragon’s tail?

2. WICKED MENUS
Chili con carne can be magically turned into a Borgias’ Pot, nachos can have the aroma of rat poison, while a chocolate pie becomes a mud pie of ungranted wishes.

3. POTIONS TO BE USED WITH CAUTION
Chocolate milk in small bottles becomes tiger’s milk while lemonade in red bottles becomes the potion of a horrible witch.

4. TREASURE HUNT
Hide a series of clues around the apartment or building. One clue should lead to the next, the last one to the bag with the trinkets. We always make our clues rhyme – here are some of last year’s samples:
“Even the worst of witches washes her clothes – and where she washes it the new clue awaits.” (washing machine)
“Tremble with fear you little owl! To find the clue you have to pass through the enchanted wall!” (front door)
“Up and down, up and down, I never frown. Watch me when I’m up, the clue is in my trap.” (swing seat)
“Every basement a secret hides. Dare to find it under the dark wizard’s eyes.” (basement)

5. DESPERATE PAINTINGS EXHIBITION
The goal is clear: Each child should paint a thematic painting to be exhibited in the hallway – to the delight of our neighbours.
