TZATZIKI

Ovaj je grčki umak dobar prilog jelima od mesa ili raznim slanim pitama

Sastojci:

1 krastavac

2 češnja češnjaka

125 ml kiselog vrhnja

125 ml čvrstog jogurta

1 žlica vinskog octa

1 žlica maslinovog ulja

Sol, papar

Priprema:

Krastavac dobro operite i neoguljenog ga naribajte na krupni ribež. Dodajte sitno sjeckani češnjak, ocat i ulje, pa posolite i popaprite po ukusu.

Pomiješajte vrhnje i jogurt pa dodajte krastavcima. Izmiješajte i servirajte.

Ovaj umak možete napraviti i unaprijed.  U zatvorenoj posudi držite ga u hladnjaku do 3 dana.

To make this Greek sauce, a perfect companion to meat dishes or salty filo dough pastries, you will need:

1 cucumber
2 garlic cloves
125 ml sour cream
125 ml firm plain yogurt
1 tablespoon wine vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Wash and scrub the cucumber; do not peel it. Grate cucumber using ultra coarse grater surface. Add minced garlic, vinegar and oil and season with salt and pepper. Mix together sour cream and yogurt and add to the grated cucumber. Mix well and serve.
