JEDNOSTAVNI FUDGE

Fudge je visokokaloričan slatkiš, bogat šećerom i masnoćama, a siromašan vlagom, pa se dobro čuva. Konzumira se narezan na kockice.
Tradicionalno se priprema od mlijeka, maslaca i šećera uz dodatak orašastih plodova i suhog voća.

Sastojci:

750 ml kondenziranog mlijeka
600 g tamne čokolade
prstohvat soli
1 žličica ekstrakta vanilije

Priprema:

Četvrtasti kalup (30 x 30 cm) prekrijte masnim papirom.

Oštrim nožem nasjeckajte čokoladu.

U vatrostalnoj posudi pomiješajte kondenzirano mlijeko, čokoladu i sol. Stavite na laganu vatru i miješajući zagrijavajte dok se čokolada ne rastopi.
Kuhajte, miješajući, još 1 – 2 minute pa ugasite vatru.

Dodajte vaniliju i miješajte još nekoliko minuta. Miješanjem će fudge dobiti lijepu svilenkastu teksturu.

Smjesu izlijte u pripremljen kalup i poravnajte površinu.
Ostavite na hladnom da se stisne, najbolje preko noći.

Fudge režite na kockice.

Čuvajte ga u dobro zatvorenoj kutiji.

SIMPLE FUDGE

Fudge is a high-calorie sweet, rich in sugar and fat while lacking moisture, hence it keeps well. It is served sliced into cubes.
It is traditionally prepared from milk, butter and sugar with the addition of nuts and dried fruits.

Ingredients:

750 ml condensed milk
600 g dark chocolate
a pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

Line a square tin (30×30 cm) with a sheet of greased paper.

Chop the chocolate using a sharp knife.

Combine the condensed milk, chocolate and salt in an oven-proof dish. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted.
Cook, stirring constantly, for another minute or two and remove from heat.

Add the vanilla and keep stirring for several more minutes. This will make the fudge nicely silky in texture.

(Optionally, now is the time to add chopped hazelnuts, almonds, raisins, etc.)

Pour the mixture into a prepared mould evenly.

Leave in a cold space to set, preferably overnight.

Cut the fudge into cubes.
Keep in a well sealed box.
