DOMAĆI SIRUP OD BAZGE

Zdrav, jednostavan, ukusan… Po receptu naših baka…

Sastojci:

30 cvjetova bazge

3 l prokuhane ohlađene vode

½ kg limuna

65 g  limunske kiseline

3 kg šećera

6,5 dl vode

Priprema:

Limun narežite na ploške pa ga slažite u veću posudu naizmjence s bazginim cvjetovima i limunskom kiselinom. Zalijte prokuhanom ohlađenom vodom i ostavite 24 sata.

Šećer prokuhajte sa 6,5 dl vode da dobijete sirup. Odstajalu bazgu i limun procijedite kroz gusto sito ili krpu. Istisnite sav sok.

Vruć šećerni sirup ulijte u procijeđeni sok, promiješajte pa ponovno ostavite 24 sata. Povremeno promiješajte.

Sokom punite čiste sterilizirane boce. Sirup čuvajte na hladnom, a prije upotrebe razrijedite vodom.

HOME-MADE ELDERFLOWER SYRUP

Healthy, simple, tasty…

Ingredients:

30 elder flowers
3 l water, boiled and cooled
½ kg lemon
65 g citric acid
3 kg sugar
6 ½ dl water

Method:

Slice the lemon and arrange in a large dish alternatively with elder flowers and citric acid. Pour over with cool boiled water and leave for 24 h.
Boil the sugar in 6 ½ dl water to make the syrup. Strain the elder flowers and lemon through a dense sieve or gauze. Squeeze all the juice.
Pour the hot sugar syrup into the juice, stir and leave for another 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
Pour the syrup into clean, sterilised bottles. Keep in a cool place and dilute with water before serving.
