Let your children enjoy hours of play-time with blocks you made yourself

What you need:

wooden blocks, 6×6 cm (you can have them cut at any hardware store)
acrylic paint
Mod Podge – varnish-glue
adhesive paper tape
a brush
sanding paper

Sand all the blocks, making all the sides smooth.
Use the adhesive tape to protect all the edges of the sides you are about to paint, thus preventing paint from “leaking” onto any of the other sides.
Apply the paint, draw geometric shapes, write letters – do whatever your imagination tells you to do.
You can also glue a photograph to a block. Print it out and cut to 6×6 cm. Use Mod Podge to glue the photograph to a side of a block and apply a layer of Mod Podge on top. Leave to dry before applying another coating.
When your blocks look just like you imagined, apply the final layer of Mod Podge coating.
Leave to dry completely. Store in drawstring bag.
